ILOILO City – A 15-inch knife was seized from a resident of Barrio Obrero, Lapuz district.
The 43-year-old William Benal was arrested in the village Thursday.
Benal faces a charge for violation of the election gun ban.
Aside from firearms, the Commission on Elections prohibits the carrying of any other deadly weapon during the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan election period.
Officers caught Benal while they were conducting a “saturation drive” in Barrio Obrero at 2 a.m., a police report showed./PN
