BACOLOD City – A woman was found dead inside a motel along De leon Street in Barangay 2, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, police said.
The woman was identified as the 23-year-old Jenelyn Morales of Manapla, Negros Occicental, according to Victorias City police head Superintendent Herman Garbosa.
It was Maria Bianca Traveller’s Inn receptionist Jose Monserate who discovered the body at around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
Morales’ naked body was covered with a blanket lying at the comfort room floor when found.
According to the police report, Morales bore bruises on the different parts of the body allegedly due to strangulation.
Monserate told the police that a certain “Jimmy” checked in at the room at around 5:20 a.m. on Friday, citing the motel’s information sheet.
Morales’ body was subject for a post-mortem examination at the Jaruda Funeral Homes.
