BACOLOD City – Two wanted men were arrested in Kabankalan City and Ilog town in Negros Occidental on Monday.
They were the 25-year-old Joven Montoyo of Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City and the 27-year-old Ryan Liso-an of Barangay Canlamay, Ilog, police said.
Montoyo was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 61 in Kabankalan City issued on May 8.
He was charged with frustrated murder, police said.
Montoyo was detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Liso-an, on the other hand, was charged with rape through sexual assault.
Police arrested him on the strength of a warrant that Judge Rosario Ester Orda-Caise of the RTC Branch 61 in Kabankalan City issued on dated Jan. 16, 2017.
Liso-an was jailed at the municipal police station’s lockup facility. A P120,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
