ILOILO City – An unidentified thief barged into houses at Bernwood Residences of Mirasol Subdivision in Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz district, a police report showed.
One of the residents, 56-year-old Celia Lacanaria, reported to the police that four houses were victimized by a thief.
During investigation, police found in a footage of the subdivision guard house’s security camera that the culprit climbed Lacanaria’s terrace at around 3:34 a.m. on Monday but did not take anything.
The same culprit entered the houses of Suzette Belo, 42, Kristine Bagaforo, 36, and Zaldy Bebit at around 1 a.m., investigation further showed.
According to Belo, she found her glass window at their ground floor open and the following items missing:
* two damaged cellphones
* fashion jewelry placed inside the school bag of her daughter
Investigators were still trying to determine as of this writing if Bagaforo and Bebit also lost items.
As shown in the security camera footage, the culprit had a piece of cloth covering their face, police said. (Mariane Camell Braseliño, Intern/PN)
