A PAIR of scissors cutting a red ribbon marked the official opening of the newest business in town, boastings a kind of service that you can rely and lean on. Brother Service Center is now open in Iloilo City!

As an IT company with the objective to serve their customers better, Brother International Philippines Corporation officially opened its doors on May 22 at 10:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Glenn Hocson, president of Brother Philippines and JD Demanarig, senior manager.

Located on the ground floor of CISCHO Building in Delgado Street, Iloilo City, the event was graced by the presence of Brother’s various partners who lit candles for the success of the business. These partners include BISMAC Iloilo, Coccyx Computer Sales & Services, Computron, Kimura Chaves Sewing, MBM Iloilo Asset Management Services, Inc., Octagon Computer Superstore, and Oxord Computers and Services.

Prayers were then offered as the new office was blessed by Msgr. Excel Jaen. The pristine white and blue walls of the office were showered with coins and sprinkled with holy water in the hopes of the bright future there is to come for the newly established business.

The event was indeed successful as it gave a huge smile on Glenn Hocson’s face. He proudly shared that Brother has been operating for 110 years internationally and 17 years in the Philippines.

In the seventeen years of its existence in the country, Brother has established six branches aside from its headquarters located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. These branches are found in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Naga, and Pampanga. Of course, Brother Service Center in Iloilo is the sixth branch built in the country.

This branch in Iloilo is very helpful as customers all over Panay and Negros won’t have to travel to Cebu anymore to seek for personal assistance. Just as long as their printers, labelling machines, embroidering and sewing machines, and other Brother Products are still under warranty, they can be maintained and fixed in the service center.

With its desire to serve the customers better, there is no wonder why Msgr. Excel Jaen said in his speech, “You can always be sure to lean on Brother.”  (Margaret Anjelie Llorico, Intern/PN)
