ILOILO City – In front of the Department of Public Works and Highways office on Fort San Pedro Drive, a man was found dead.
Vicente Boliche III was sitting lifeless on the ground, his back pressed against a wall, when found at 11:30 a.m. on May 24, a police report showed.
From what investigators have gathered so far, Boliche, aged “more or less 50 years old,” was a carpenter before he begged for alms.
He was a native of the island province of Guimaras but temporarily staying in Barangay Concepcion-Montes in this city, the police report stated.
Investigators also learned that Boliche suffered from hypertension and once had a stroke.
There was no sign of foul play in this death, initial investigation showed.
The body of Boliche was taken to the Gegato-Abecia Funeral Homes and Crematory in Jaro district.
A medicolegal officer has yet to perform an autopsy on the remains. (Margaret Anjelie Llorico, Intern/PN)
