Carwash owner ‘beats, threatens’ metal worker

ILOILO City – A metal furring installer complained to the police that a carwash owner repeatedly punched him.

The 38-year-old Brendo Ricaña was hit on various portions of his face, a police report showed.

He was installing metal furring at the carwash at around 4:30 p.m. on May 28 when Rodolfo Cuenca approached and told him, “Daw naghinay imo agi kay nagpuli ka lang sa Tubungan (town in Iloilo province),” Ricaña told the police.

Te mapahuway lang ko anay boss e,” Ricaña replied.

Cuenca, 50, got irked and punched him on the nose, chin and right temple, Ricaña told the police.

Kon indi mo pagtapuson ang imo ubra, kon makita ta ka sa balay sang imo tiya sa Centennial, dunuton ta ka,” Ricaña quoted Cuenca as telling him.

Ricaña temporarily resides in Block 3, Lot 7, Centennial Homes subdivision in Barangay Cubay, Jaro district, where the incident transpired.

Police advised Ricaña to get himself checked at the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
