ILOILO City – A taxi hit a traffic enforcer along MacArthur Drive in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district, a police report showed.
Anacleto Ledesma, 54, of Barangay Democracia, Jaro was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao.
The medical status of Ledesma was not immediately clear of this writing but the police report stated that the traffic aide may have sustained a fractured right hand. He had scratches all over the body, too.
Police said the incident happened while Ledesma was on duty at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The taxi driver – Raul Capangyarihan, 56, of Alimodian Iloilo – was arrested and detained at the Jaro police station.
His vehicle (plate number FWW-955) was damaged on the front bumper and headlight.
Responding personnel of the Iloilo City Emergency Response team rushed Ledesma to the hospital./PN
