ILOILO City – His elder sister attacked him with a knife, a 48-year-old resident of Mandurriao district claimed.
Jerry Academia of Imperial IV, Barangay Calajunan reported the incident to the district police station at around 12:05 a.m. on June 1.
A loud bang of his bedroom door awakened him at around 11:30 p.m. on May 31, Academia said.
Then he saw his elder sister, 54-year-old Imelda HoreI, charge at him to stab him, but he parried the attack, he added.
Grappling ensued between them, and then Horel fled.
Academia sought help from the Mandurriao police in searching for his sister but Horel eventually turned herself in, he said.
Academia sustained wounds on his hands. Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel treated him but advised him to seek for further medical attention.
