BACOLOD City – He landed in a hospital room after being stabbed in Barangay 3, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 38-year-old resident Diosdado Gargallano was currently recovering at the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental, police said.
Police identified the suspect in the stabbing as the 28-year-old Melvin Cainila, also a resident of the village.
According to the investigators, Gargallano and Cainila were binge drinking on Sunday when a heated argument ensued between them.
That was when Cainila attacked Gargallano using a knife, the police added.
Officers from the E.B. Magalona police station were still locating Cainila, who fled after the stabbing./PN
