ROXAS City – Police arrested a woman in a drug buy-bust operation in along Pavia Street, Barangay 9 in this capital city.
She was the 43-year-old Marivic Devera of Philippine Railway Street, Barangay 9, said Senior Inspector Hilbert Gervero.
Devera was caught after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 11:40 p.m. on Monday.
Recovered from Devera’s possession were six sachets containing suspected shabu, a cellphone and a disposable lighter, police said.
“Madugay na naton ining suspect ginasurveillance ugaling ang istilo niya sini, manago sia sa squatters’ area kag magwa lang sya kung may nagabakal shabu,” Gervero told Panay News.
Devera will undergo drug testing at the Philippine National Police crime laboratory in Iloilo City. The suspected shabu confiscated from her will be subject for verification there, too.
Currenlty, Devera was detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
