A MEMBER of the press teased Ai-Ai delas Alas if she is willing to manage Kris Aquino’s career.
Ai-Ai is now trying her hand at managing talents and is currently the manager of the hip-hop group Ex Battalion.
Ai-Ai and Kris used to be close friends but they had a falling out in 2014.
The seasoned actress was asked at the press conference of Viva Films’ announcement of its collaboration with Ai-Ai and Ex Battalion last June 1, Friday.
Ai-Ai then replied that as far as she knows, Kris is now being managed by a known talent agency.
Last March, Kris took to social media and announced that she was being co-managed by Cornerstone.
Still, Ai-Ai was prodded if she was open to the idea.
“Ah… Hahaha! E, busy ako sa Ex B [Ex Battalion],” she replied.
“Siguro next year pag na-[plan] ko na ang Ex B, puwede na kaming mag-usap tungkol sa management.”
Meanwhile, Ai-Ai confessed that she appreciates her former manager, Boy Abunda, a lot more now that she is a talent manager too.
“Tinext ko nga siya, e, sabi ko, ‘Ama, na-appreciate kita,’ kasi mas marami kami sa kanya.
“Andami namin [na talents under him].
“Eto anim lang,” she said, referring to the members of Ex Battalion.
“Kay Boy, hindi lang kami anim, siguro nasa 30 kami or 50 kami lahat.
“Iba pa yung grupo, iba pa yung solo, iba pa yung babae, iba pa yung lalaki.
“‘Tapos, natawa siya.”
She added that she even asked Boy for tips on how to manage a group consisting of male members at times when they become too much to handle.
“Pag kunwari nagloloka-lokahan ang mga boys.
“Sinasabi naman niya sa akin, ‘Sabihin mo sa kanila, hayaan mo sila,’” related Ai-Ai, which is a reference to Ex Battalion’s hit song, “Hayaan Mo Sila.”
(Pep.ph)
