Daughter cries foul over drug allegations vs pa

ROXAS City – A farmer was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Burias, Mambusao, Capiz.

The 42-year-old Christopher Llanto of Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao was caught after selling suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 around 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

But Llanto’s daughter Aco denied the allegations against her father in a Facebook post.

While saying that her father was a former drug user, Aco claimed the suspected drugs recovered from Llanto were “planted.”

She added that her father is already “reformed.”

Ang sa tuod lang gid, gin-planted niyo lang papa ko. Dugay na sia nga wala gagamit. Mangita gid kamo paagi para may ibedensya kamo,” the post read. “Oo, gagamit si papa sadto. Naguntat sia tungod hadlok sia mapatay o madakpan.”

Personnel from the Mambusao police station’s Drug Enforcement Unit said they recovered five sachets of suspected shabu from Llanto.

For his part, Mambusao police head Inspector Rachelle Ganica told Panay News, “Ila ina ya allegation. Tanan man ina sila indi man mag-ako.”

Ganica added, “Damo gapasalamat nga nadakop na sia kay damo sia nahalitan nga mga kabataan.”

Llanto was detained at the Mambusao police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
