Filipinos lack discipline. Agree or disagree?
Filipinos lack discipline. Example na dira ang President and the things he does. We can see this, too, in the teenagers nowadays. – ISOLAVILLA SARGADO, 71, retired teacher, Jamabalud National High School
It is quite disheartening but I do believe Filipinos lack discipline. It is evident in whatever we do in our daily lives. No matter what approach, what new law or whoever imposes it makes no difference. This is the reason for the slow-paced progress of our country. – APRIL GRACE PADILLA, 20, Journalism student, West Visayas State University
Agree gid…maskin sa pagsunod na lang sa time, actual time and not the Filipino time. – MEDEN ESPINOSA, 43, single mother, Pototan, Iloilo
We do lack discipline. Look at it this way, we say na pupunta tayo at this time but we arrive 30 minutes late. Mga programs na sine-setup natin starts an hour later. We lack the sense of being prompt and on-the-dot kumbaga. – JEROME GABRIEL AGUILAR, 20, AB COMM student, University of Perpetual Help – Molino, Molino, Cavite
Depende sa tawo. May ara nga madisiplina man, pero may ara nga wala gid.
Kag ang disiplina sang tawo nagadepende man sa sitwasyon nga nahamtangan niya. – JOSEPH FRANCO, 35, tricycle driver, Pototan, Iloilo
Agree. Filipinos lack discipline. Just look at the traffic situation. Most Filipinos don’t respect traffic rules. They don’t follow simple codes of conduct and proper attitude sa street as well as the stoplights. They drive way past the speed limit.
Next, sa law, as long as we don’t get caught, we keep breaking the rules. People smoke right behind “No Smoking” signs or park right behind “No Parking” signs. What the heck, folks?
Minors stay out way past curfew hours; they buy liquor and cigarettes. I could go on all day.
Sa environment, I have no idea why public utility vehicles with dark-colored exhaust smokes are still in operation in Iloilo City or how those resorts in Boracay that break many environmental laws are still operational.
Then the DENR acts surprised. Seriously, DENR? Di kamo aware sang mga ginahatagan n’yo permits? And this concludes my rant. – JOSEPH JUSTIN DIOSO, 20, BSIT student, West Visayas State University
I agree.
– JAYSON GUARISMO, 20, BSHRM student, City College of Tagaytay
Disagree. We all have our own sense of discipline. We cannot compare ours to the practice of foreigners. – JESSA MAE PADILLA, 19, student, West Visayas State University
I agree. Discipline is one of the most important attitudes. Filipinos are known for being respectful, honest, kindhearted and helpful but some lack discipline…even in disciplining themselves. Discipline should always begin within us. – MERCY GRACE GONZALES, 19, student, Iloilo State College of Fisheries
Filipinos don’t even know where to put their trash. Minors violate curfew hours and practice immoral acts. Meaning kulang na sila tanan sa disiplina. Even the public employees kulang man na sila sa disiplina. Kun indi mo pagpinahan abi mo mapararati na sila? – QUINNIE SEQUITO, 19, student, West Visayas State University
I strongly agree that Filipinos lack of discipline. Tanan kita and I include myself. May point is everyone should be aware of their responsibilities and obligations. Dapat amat-amat kita sa bisan gamay nga steps asta mag sige-sige. If we tolerate this, the cycle will continue kag wala na progress ang aton pungsod. – AUDREY MARIE JUANIZA, 19, student, Pavia National High School
I cannot say I agree or I disagree because in reality people lack in discipline sometimes. But it also depends on what situation. – KAYE GABUEN, 19, student, Iloilo State College of Fisheries
Filipinos lack of discipline so ‘di naton mabatyagan gid ang paglag-on, pagbabago sa aton nga pungsod. Wala disiplina pag-segregate sang aton basura. Wala disiplina sa oras, wala ga-abot sa proper time sa school, work etc. Wala disiplina sa pagtipon sang kwarta.
Sa obra wala man disiplina, bisan working hours gatulog.
– APPLE JOY JUANIZA, 20, student, ISAT U Dumangas, Iloilo
