WHAT PEOPLE SAY: Freedom on the web

Should there be internet censorship?

OUR government should consider putting more teeth on cyber laws. It has the absolute prerogative to censor the internet to protect citizens from false information and prevent the degradation of social and moral values.

The extent of internet censorship, however, should be strategically implemented to ensure the people’s liberty of speaking out. – CHRIST JOHN GAMARCHA, 21, fresh graduate, West Visayas State University
