BACOLOD City – His wife found him hanging from a mangrove tree with a nylon cord tied around his neck in Sitio Pulo, Barangay Latasan, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The 63-year-old resident Cristitoto Mendoza Sr. was brought to the town’s Rural Health Unit where attending physician Dr. Edmundo Janeo pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Mendoza’s wife Consolacion, 50, found him around 5:30 a.m. on June 17.
Consolacion told the police that her husband suffered from mild stroke last March.
She added that Mendoza tied the nylon cord around the mangrove tree around 5 p.m. on June 16.
When asked what he will do with the cord, Mendoza told his wife that he will slaughter a dog.
