ILOILO City – On Father’s Day, a resident of Barangay Pandac, Pavia, Iloilo was found dead in their house.
The 59-year-old Rogie Francisco of Deca Homes Subdivision committed suicide by hanging, police said.
Investigators have found no foul play in the death of Francisco, said Chief Inspector Ferdinand Limbungan, Pavia police chief.
Francisco was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district where he was pronounced dead.
His family found the body at around 9 p.m. on June 17, police said.
Earlier in the day Francisco and his siblings had a misunderstanding, investigation showed.
It was unclear what it was about but it prompted his siblings and his wife to head to Iloilo City to celebrate Father’s Day, leaving Francisco behind, alone in the house, said Limbungan.
