ILOILO City – Police arrested a murder suspect in Barangay Man-it in the component city of Passi in Iloilo province on Thursday.
The 43-year-old Melvin Malfarta is a resident of Barangay San Juan, Molo district, a police report showed.
Police served him a warrant of arrest at 8:30 a.m.
Malfarta will have to stay in detention until his case is resolved – the court has not set a bail bond for his temporary liberty.
He was hauled to the detention facility of the Molo police station.
The Molo police sought help from the Passi City police in catching Malfarta when they learned that the suspect was hiding in Barangay Man-it, stated the police report./PN
