BACOLOD City – One day after went missing, a 6-year-old boy was found dead in a creek in Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Resident McLarb Sanchez, a Grade 1 pupil of Bantayan Elementary School, died of drowning, a police report showed.
His body was retrieved around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the report further stated.
According to investigators, Sanchez crossed the creek overflow caused by the heavy rain on Tuesday when he slipped and was carried away by the strong current./PN
