ROXAS City – He was arrested after allegedly selling drugs to an undercover officer along Sacred Heart Avenue in Barangay Lawaan.
The 37-year-old tricycle driver Eugene Baylon of Barangay San Jose was detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility.
He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Officers from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Senior Inspector Hilbert Gervero staged Baylon’s arrest around 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were four sachets of suspected shabu, a digital weighing scale, a sling bag, and the P1,000 marked money.
According to Gervero, Baylon drives a “colorum” tricycle at night while engaging in illegal drug transactions.
Baylon, who was jailed for the same offense nine years ago, denied the allegation./PN
