ILOILO City – The 30-year-old Jason Divino has been arrested.
A resident of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district, he has been accused of illegal gambling.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest in their village on Wednesday, a police report showed.
Divino was charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling.
The suspect was hauled to the detention facility of the Molo police station.
Judge Ann Beatrice Aguana-Balmaceda of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 1 issued the warrant.
