ILOILO City – The police has secured a video footage from a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera near Crystal Beach Resort in Barangay Igcadlum, San Joaquin, Iloilo where drug suspect Barangay Captain Remia Prevendido Gregori was shot to death.
It showed five suspects, all men, leaving the crime scene aboard two Toyota Vios cars.
The cars proceeded to Antique, according to Senior Inspector Asencion Ortizo, San Joaquin police chief.
Gregori, barangay captain of Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, was killed at the beach resort she owned in the afternoon of June 24.
The CCTV footage, however, may not be of much help to investigators. It was blurry and the suspects’ faces were not discernable, said Ortizo.
The San Joaquin police was helping a special investigation team that the Iloilo Police Provincial Office formed to investigate the killing.
Gregori, sister of slain drug lord Richard Prevendido, was buried at Forest Lake Memorial Park in Mandurriao on July 5.
As of this writing, no suspect had been identified.
