BACOLOD City – Standard warning signs must be installed along Lacson Street and other roads undergoing repair in the city, according to the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP).
There are deep excavations in these roads that pose danger to motorists and pedestrians, the SP added.
On Wednesday, the SP approved a resolution urging the Department of Public Works And Highways (DPWH) to set up the warning signs.
Road repair projects are ongoing in barangays Alijis and Mansilingan. A flood control system, meanwhile, is being installed along Lacson Street.
The road repair projects may be completed within this month while the flood control project, in October, according to the DPWH.
Councilor Em Ang said the warning signs will be prevent accidents and ensure the safety of road users while the projects are not yet complete./PN
