Police: 6 ‘conspire’ to sell shabu in Ajuy

ILOILO City – Six people including a teenager in Ajuy, Iloilo were accused of conspiring to sell a prohibited substance.

They were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tipacla, Ajuy, a police report showed.

John Mark Bayson and brother Prudencio; Hernan Biron; Musir John Canindo; Cyril Sinoy; and a 17-year-old identified only as “Joanna” were taken to the Ajuy police station.

They “conspired” in selling a sachet of shabu worth P1,150 to undercover operatives at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, stated the police report.

The Bayson brothers, Biron, Canindo, and Sinoy were “drug surrenderers” – they turned themselves in last year as part of the government’s crackdown on drug traffickers and users – police said.

John Mark Bayson yielded four sachets of shabu while two more plastic packs of the same substance and the buy-bust money were seized from Biron, said the police.

The suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
