BACOLOD City – Two men were killed after the motorcycle they were riding crashed against a Ceres bus on the national highway in Purok Paglaum, Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Police identified the casualties as the 40-year-old driver Jerry Lumampao of Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City and his 37-year-old back rider Gilbert Rafael of Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
Lumampao and Rafael were both pronounced “dead on arrival” at a near hospital.
The crash happened around 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, the report stated.
Lumampao and Rafael were on their way home at the time, police said.
The bus driver was identified as Geronimo Batoon, 32, of Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
The bus was on the right lane when the incident happened, police said./PN
