SAN JOSE, Antique – The construction of a P10-million provincial tourism office will start next week.

Gov. Rhodora Cadiao attended the pre-construction meeting with the project contractor and personnel from the Department of Public Works and Highways at the provincial capitol on Tuesday, said Provincial Tourism Officer Jose Ramlo Villaluna.

“The two-storey provincial tourism office will be constructed by Juantong Construction that won the bidding,” Villaluna added.

The new office will be built next to the new capitol building – the area where a souvenir shop used to stand.

“Funding for the office is now ready with the donation of Buhay Party-list congressman Lito Atienza,” Villaluna said.

The ground floor of the building will serve as a showroom of various products of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in Antique.

“Hopefully, the building could be finished just before the Binirayan Festival this December so that it could be inaugurated by then,” Villaluna said. (With a report from PNA/PN)
