BACOLOD City – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) warns its member-consumers of fake social media accounts claiming it is the electric cooperative.
These are Facebook accounts “Ceneco Board” and “Ceneco Ceneco,” said Roel Venus, head of Ceneco’s Member-Consumers Integrated Services Division.
Venus said they are investigating who are behind these two accounts that post false information.
He clarified that their official Facebook account is “CENECO – Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc.” where announcements about maintenance operations and power interruptions, among others, are posted.
Member-consumers can also check Ceneco updates on Twitter (@myceneco) and www.ceneco.com.ph, said Venus.
Ceneco supplies power to the cities of Silay, Talisay, Bacolod, and Bago and municipalities of Murcia and Salvador Benedicto./PN
