SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is preparing for a series of seminars for newly elected barangay officials in Antique.
Natalie Grace Azarraga of DILG-Antique on Thursday said the seminar will be held after the League of Barangays provincial election on July 30.
“We will start conducting the seminars by August then,” Azarraga added.
Azarraga said they have already received the seminar primer from the DILG main office.
The seminar will tackle barangay governance and administration, she stressed.
Antique has a total of 590 barangays in 18 municipalities.
On June 22, DILG-Antique conducted a series of one-day trainings for the newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials.
The SK officials in the province underwent trainings from May 21 to 25 held at the University of Antique campuses in Sibalom, Tibiao, Libertad, and Caluya. (With a report from PNA/PN)
