Capiz police vie for national tilt

ROXAS City – The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) is among the three finalists in the search for the 2017 Best Provincial Police Office in the country.

The CPPO has been shortlisted into the top 10 from 80 nominees until it became one of the top three finalists.

A team from the Philippine National Police (PNP) was at the CPPO headquarters in Camp Apil in this capital city on July 6 to evaluate the CPPO.

PNP directorate for information and communications technology management executive officer Chief Superintendent Norberto Solomon led the evaluation team.

CPPO head Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion presented to the team CPPO’s major projects and significant accomplishments from January 2017 to April 2018.

The two other finalists are the police provincial officers of Davao Del Norte and Bulacan.

The giving of the award is part of the 117th Police Service anniversary celebration in August. (With a report from PIA/PN)
