SAN JOSE, Antique – A drug buy-bust operation turned fatal for a man in Sitio Bacolod, Barangay San Luis, Culasi, Antique, a police report showed.
Barangay Condes, Culasi resident Nepthalie “Alog” Tibang died after arresting officers fired at him, the report further showed.
Tibang was the subject of the sting operation that joint elements of the Culasi municipal police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged at around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Police said they retaliated after Tibang drew his firearm and shot them.
The .45-caliber firearm that Tibang allegedly used to shoot the officers was under the custody of the municipal police./PN
