BACOLOD City – Three men were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay Nabulao, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
They were identified as the 62-year-old Carmelito Geronggay, 33-year-old Richie Palacios and 64-year-old Rodrigo Hemongala – all residents of Sipalay City.
Officers from the Sipalay City police station caught the suspects in the act of engaging in the game cara y cruz around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Recovered from their possession were gambling money worth P360 and a stone they used in the game, police said.
They were detained at the Sipalay City police station lockup facility./PN
