ROXAS City – Suspected shabu worth about P60,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in this capital city.
The suspected illegal drugs contained in six sachets were confiscated from the 29-year-old Mariam Fancuga of Barangay Punta Tabuc, a police report showed.
Fancuga was caught around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday after selling suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000, the report further showed.
“Si Fancuga isa ka high value target,” said Roxas City police head Superintendent Dante Tayco.
Aside from the suspected drugs, police also confiscated a cellphone and P500 cash from Fancuga.
“Dugay na ini naton sya nga gina-surveillance pero grabe kadanlog. We suspect nga sa Manila niya ginakuha ang supply sang shabu,” Tayco told Panay News.
Fancuga was detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
