ROXAS City – Inside a jail facility was where a man landed for violating Republic Act 9162, or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
The 38-year-old farmer Wilfredo Santiago Jr. was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 9 a.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Poblacion, Jamindan, Capiz, a police report showed.
Officers from the municipal police station staged Santiago’s arrest.
Santiago was detained at the Jamindan police station lockup facility.
A P120,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
