BACOLOD City – His adversaries must stop making issues regarding his political undertakings, said Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia.
Leonardia added he is working to serve the city better and has no time to entertain such issues.
“Gapangabay ko gani sa kutob sa mga kalaban ko sa politika, tani indi sila manghingabot. Indi sila magsabad sa amon para makaserbisyo kami sang husto,” Leonardia told Panay News.
Leonardia’s comment came a day after Councilor Ricardo Tan announced that he is no longer with the local political group Grupo Progreso (GP).
Tan said he left GP due to “leadership problems and political crisis” within the group, which is being led by Leonardia.
“Indi na ko gusto magsagad entertain anay sina sa iya kay siling ko may tymepo gid na, bisan adlaw-adlaw pa magdebate kon mag-abot ang campaign period,” the mayor said.
Leonardia added that out of 15 members of GP since the 2016 elections, 14 have stayed.
“So, I think that alone will speak for itself,” Leonardia stressed.
Tan said on Tuesday that he “seriously” considers running for mayor in next year’s midterm elections.
“Hatagan ko tani anay ang akon mga kontra sa politika sang tinion nga makaserbisyo kay karon kon magsige na sila – dumdum sang iban na – nagasabotahe sila kay tungod sang ila political ambition,” Leonardia said./PN
