BACOLOD City – A barangay kagawad survived an attempt on his life while walking along Roxas Street in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
An unidentified gunman was able to injure the 38-year-old Gilbert Flores of Barangay 7, Victorias City on the left shoulder on Friday, a police report showed.
Flores was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City where he was recuperating.
According to the police, the suspect used an improvised firearm locally called sulpak to shoot Flores.
Officers from the Victorias City police station were still identifying the suspect and the motive in the shooting./PN
