SAN JOSE, Antique – Charged with forcible abduction with rape, a man was arrested in Barangay 8, a police report showed.
The 70-year-old resident Roberto “Bong” Javier was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant issued on Dec. 19, 2001 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 11 in this capital town.
Joint elements of the Hamtic police station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group staged the arrest at around 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Javier was detained at the Hamtic police station lockup facility.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
