SINCE the time that nincompoop former President Noynoy Aquino sentenced 800,000 plus schoolchildren to death by Dengvaxia courtesy of the Department of Health then led by former secretary Janette Garin through a supposedly anti- Dengue vaccination program, 71 schoolchildren have died and counting.
The sad part there is that at the time the children started dying, not a sound from the most vocal and loudest shrill voices of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines or CBCP, archbishops Luis Tagle and Socrates Villegas, was heard.
There were no church bells ringing, no masses, no pastoral letters, no pray overs, not a whimper.
That self-proclaimed ârunning priestâ Fr. Robert Reyes who, without any hesitation nor prompting would start running (of course, wherever there are TV cameras) to protest anything even slightly connected to President Rodrigo Duterte, this fool would run against people celebrating Valentineâs Day yet not a step for the children dead or dying from Dengvaxia.
Fr. Robert Reyes would perform pray overs, exorcisms for Leila âfrailties of a woman â de Lima and that ânever was and not formerâ Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno or Meilou as she prefers to be called.
Again, nothing for the dead or soon-to-die children vaccinated with Dengvaxia, not even a âHail Maryâ or just a sign of the cross.
Is it because the fruit of the loins (and not immaculate conception) of the âheroâ and âsainthood interruptedâ that nincompoop Noynoy Aquino is the President that sentenced these 800,000 schoolchildren to âdeath by Dengvaxiaâ?
Thank God, not all CBCP members are wearing âyellow knickersâ (why not âdrawersâ as they are supposed to be men?); well, theyâre wearing skirts, arenât they.
But thereâs a glimmer of sanity in the CBCP. A true shepherd concerned with his flock as based on excerpts from this somewhat obscure old story from the Dec. 12, 2017 issue of CBCPNews:
Bishop seeks punishment of govât officials behind Dengvaxia mess
A Catholic bishop demanded the prosecution and punishment of government officials responsible for the P3.5-billion anti-dengue vaccine fiasco.
With more questions being raised in the ongoing Senate investigation, Bishop Ruperto Santos of Balanga said it is critical for liabilities to be determined.
âWe urgently and strongly call for full investigation of this serious matter, prosecution and punishment of previous highest government officials,â Santos said.
He lamented that the ânegligence and irresponsibleâ actions of these officials have endangered the lives of more than 800,000 children.
âLife is not an experiment. Life is not trial and error. And life is erroneously lost, wasted by careless and irresponsible decisions of those government officials,â the prelate said.
âWe are praying for the safety of our schoolchildren and their sound health. May they be spared from sickness and from heartless people motivated by profit, and personal and political interests,â Santos said.
All we can say is âBless you, Bishop.â Of course, itâs no surprise that the CBCP did not support the call of Bishop Ruperto Santos.
Meanwhile, the Dengvaxia death toll continues. Excerpts from the July 18 issue of inquirer.net:
PAO blames Dengvaxia anew in death of 71st kid
The Public Attorneyâs Office (PAO) blamed anew the Dengvaxia vaccine as the cause of death of the 71st child, in a record released by its chief Atty. Persida Acosta on Thursday.
Acosta told Radyo Inquirer that the latest death was recorded in Metro Manila on July 19, just a few days after the 70th victim died this week.
âCommon patterns of signs and symptoms pa rin po ito: sakit ng ulo, sakit ng katawan, nahihirapang huminga,â she said.
(Itâs still the common patterns of signs and symptoms: headache, body ache, and difficulty in breathing.)
The people responsible for this state sponsored genocide of schoolchildren must be held responsible and accountable and they must not be allowed to get away with this heinous crime.
Excerpts from the July 16 issue inquirer.net:
NBI files case vs former President Aquino, others over Dengvaxia issue
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday filed criminal complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman against former President Benigno Aquino, former Budget secretary Florencio Abad, former Health secretary Janette Garin and several others for the illegal purchase of the controversial Dengvaxia vaccine.
Also recommended for prosecution are Family Health Office officer-in-charge Joyce Ducusin; Philippine Childrenâs Medical Center director Julius Lecciones; Family Health Office medical specialist II Dr. Maria Wilda Silva; DOH- Disease Prevention and Control Bureau director IV Mario Baquilod; and Dr. Rosalind Vianzon.
In a letter to Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales dated July 13, 2018, the NBI said: âThere is technical malversation because government funds amounting to P3 billion intended for the 2015 Miscellaneous Personnel Benefit Fund (MPBF) of the Executive Department was utilized for the procurement of Dengvaxia under the DOH school-based immunization program. Although the source of fund was declared as savings by the Chief Executive, its intended purpose failed as there is no existing programs, activity or project for dengue procurement and immunization.â
The NBI asked the Ombudsman to conduct a preliminary investigation on the matter and eventually file a case in court.
Moi is certain that the mothers of the 71 dead and the rest of the 800,000 schoolchildren vaccinated with that experimental drug Dengvaxia, including most of the natives of this archipelago, would want to see Noynoy Aquino, Janette Garin et al. punished accordingly.
Vaccinating them with Dengvaxia would be poetic justice. (brotherlouie16@gmail.com/PN)
