3 of 12 drug suspects caught in San Carlos minors

BACOLOD City – Twelve individuals – three of them minors – were arrested in a sting operation that joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 and the police station in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental staged.

Sunday’s buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, leading to the arrest of the 49-year-old Mora Allero, 56-year-old Abraham Carusca, 33-year-old Dante Viseb, 45-year-old George Caballero, 39-year-old Michael Dirindigun, 33-year-old Rex Romero, 53-year-old Oscar Santillan, 43-year-old Efren Fernandez, 38-year-old Warlo Canonero, and the three minors.

Police said the targets of the operation were Allero and Carusca – both they identified as drug personalities in San Carlos City.

The operation led to the confiscation of suspected shabu weighing about 26 grams valued at around P390,000, P1,000 marked money, two cellphones, and drug paraphernalia.

The minors were now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in San Carlos while the other suspects were detained at the city police station’s lockup facility.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against the suspects, said the police./PN
