Cadiz store robbed

BACOLOD City – An estimated P35,805 worth of items were stolen from a store in Barangay Zone 3, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, police said.

The 22-year-old Janneth Dablo, manager of J & C Lucky 99 Store, told officers at the Cadiz City police station that she discovered the items were missing around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

The items include clothes, underwear and bags.

The culprits, who were unidentified as of this writing, destroyed the concrete wall of the store to gain entry, Dablo added.

Police were still investigating the case.

San Carlos City’s No. 3 most wanted falls

He was listed as the No. 3 most wanted person in the police station in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The 39-year-old Dexter Tanio of Sitio Lupao, Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City was arrested around 2 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Pinowayan, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.

Joint elements of the San Carlos City police station, Philippine National Police Maritime Group and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 6 staged the arrest.

Tanio, a frustrated murder suspect, was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Katherine Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 59 in San Carlos City issued on Aug. 17, 2017.

He was detained at the San Carlos City police station lockup facility.

The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Toboso slay suspect jailed

Accused of murder, a man was caught at his residence in Brangay Bandila Proper, Toboso, Negros Occidental.

Combined elements of the municipal police station and the Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company served the 21-year-old Joel Sarita with an arrest warrant on Monday.

Sarita is listed as the No. 9 most wanted person in Toboso’s police station.

Judge Katherine Go of the Regional trial Court Branch 59 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental issued the warrant against Sarita on Aug. 18, 2016.

Sarita was detained at the Toboso police station lockup facility.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.

Drug op nets ‘sikad’ driver

Police arrested a trisikad driver in a drug-buy bust operation in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2.

Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa, head of the Police Station 2, identified the driver as the 27-year-old resident Enecito “Biboy” Alojado Jr.

Alojado was arrested after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.

Gestopa said Alojado had been under surveillance for two weeks prior to his arrest.

Recovered from Alojado’s possession were 11 sachets of suspected shabu including the buy-bust item valued at around P15,000.

Alojado was detained at the Police Station 2 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
