ILOILO City will host a leg of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Visayas Open 2018 from Aug. 10 to 12.
The three-day event will feature seven regular spots and three demonstrative sports, each with three age categories – 12 and Under, 14 and Under, and 16 and Under.
The PSC Visayas Open Iloilo leg, to be held in partnership with the Iloilo City government, will be free of charge.
Among the regular sports in the leg are marathon, arnis, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, boxing, and karatedo. Weightlifting, judo and archery are the three demonstrative sports.
The PSC Visayas Open aims to discover and develop the next generation of athletes who will represent the Philippines in international competitions.
Registration forms are available at the Office of Sports and Youth Development on the fifth floor of the Iloilo City Hall.
Those who intend to participate are urged to bring their birth certificate.
After the Iloilo leg, the PSC Visayas Open will return to Western Visayas on Oct. 27 to 28 with Aklan province as host./PN
