ROXAS City – The Capiz Police Provincial Office was recognized as Best Provincial Police Office in the country in 2017, according provincial police director, Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion.
Nacion said he will receive the award on Aug. 8 during the Philippine National Police’s 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration at their headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
“Wala man namon gin-target nga makakuha kami sang award,” Nacion said. “Ginpadayun lang namon ang mga best practices sang Capiz Police Provincial Office.”
Nacion thanked the community and the local press for supporting the initiatives of the CPPO.
“Indi ko luyag nga mamatsahan ang imahen sang aton mga kapulisan sa bilog nga probinsya,” he added.
President Rodrigo Duterte will be the guest of honor in the celebration.
Individual police awardees from Western Visayas include Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation.
Senior Police Officer 1 Nida Gregas, Public Information Office chief of the Aklan Police Provincial Office, was also recognized as Best Senior Police Noncommissioned Officer for Administration./PN
