KALIBO, Aklan – Charged with libel, a man landed in jail.
The 50-year-old Dave Relojero was caught around 11:30 a.m. on Friday in Barangay Estancia, a police report showed.
Relojero – a resident of Barangay Libas, Banga, Aklan – faces Criminal Case No. 14336 for libel under Article 355 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Police arrested Relojero on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Nelson Bartolome of the Regional Trial Court Branch 8 in Kalibo issued on Thursday.
Relojero was detained. A P72,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
