ROXAS City – Joint elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and the Roxas City police station raided a drug den in Barangay Inzo Arnaldo, which led to the arrest of five individuals.
Among those who were arrested were Roxas City residents old Tommy Isiderio, 34, Rodel Dela Cruz, 38, Joyce Daniel, 28, Jesus Carlos Andra, 29, and Jaive Duno, 33, a police report showed.
They were caught having a “shabu session” in a bunkhouse owned by the Gaisano City Mall around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
This reporter has tried to reach the mall management for comment but to no avail.
Another suspect who was not identified managed to evade the arrest, police said.
Isiderio was the subject of a buy-bust operation that led to the raid. He sold three sachets of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P33,500.
Aside from these, 10 more sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from the drug den.
Police also found a .38-caliber revolver with 10 live bullets and an improvised shotgun with eight live bullets at the bunkhouse.

The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Roxas City police station. They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Meanwhile, a barangay official who spoke on the condition of anonymity told Panay News that the area where the suspects were caught is a “center of fun and entertainment” every Friday night.
“Indi lang amo ina kuntani ang ila nadakpan kung Friday sang gabi nila ginpatigayon ang raid. Mas madamo pa dira ang posible nadakpan,” the official said./PN
