SAN JOSE, Antique – A man accused of murder was arrested in Barangay San Pedro, a police report showed.
The 41-year-old Jeremiah Mosquera of Barangay Vitas, Patnongon, Antique was caught around 2 p.m. yesterday, the report added.
Joint elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the municipal police stations of San Jose and San Remegio staged Mosquera’s arrest.
The operation was conducted on the strength of an arrest warrant the court issued in relation to Criminal Case No. 2005-12-7328 that Mosquera faces.
Mosquera was detained at the San Jose police station lockup facility.
Capiz woman faces estafa rap.
The court recommended an P18,000 bail bond for the temporary liberty of a woman who was charged with estafa.
The 32-year-old Jen Paulette Bascos of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Panitan, Capiz was arrested around 10:30 a.m. on Monday in Barangay IV, Roxas City, a police report showed.
Officers from the Roxas City police served Bascos with a warrant of arrest that the court issued in relation to Criminal Case No. C-18-17292-08 that she faces.
Bascos was then brought to the Roxas City police where she was detained.
Police catch Aklan thief
Charged with theft, a man was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Malinao, Aklan.
Police caught the 20-year-old Barangay Cabayugan, Malinao resident Erwin Castillo around 9:30 a.m. yesterday.
Castillo, who faces Criminal Case No 2524-M for theft, was detained at the Malinao municipal police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P10,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Wanted in La Carlota arrested in Ajuy
The No. 2 most wanted man in the police station of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental was arrested in Barangay Barrido, Ajuy, Iloilo.
He was Barangay Haguimit, La Carlota City resident Edwin Galon, a police report showed.
Galon, a carpenter, faces murder charges before the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota.
He was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, police said.
Galon was detained at the Ajuy municipal police station until around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
He was transferred to the police station in La Carlota City awaiting the court’s order. (With Cyrus Garde/PN)
