ILOILO City – A relative of slain Bakhaw, Mandurriao barangay captain Remia Prevendido Gregori was arrested on Tuesday.
Firearms and illegal drugs were seized from the house of the 27-year-old Peter Raul Gregori in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo.
Suspected of possessing homemade firearms, Peter Raul was also in the Pavia police station’s list of suspected drug dealers, said Chief Inspector Fernand Limbungan, Pavia police head.
Wielding a warrant, officers searched the house of Peter Raul at 8 a.m. and found 25 sachets of shabu, a .38 revolver, a short M16, and ammunition.
Peter Raul was detained at the Pavia police station.
Judge Victor Gelveson of the Regional Trial Court Branch 36 issued the search warrant.
Peter Raul will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, said Limbungan.
The suspect is related to Remia, who was shot to death in Barangay Igcadlum, San Joaquin, Iloilo on June 24, police said./PN
