BACOLOD City – Rep. Greg Gasataya, the city president of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), is now allied with Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
Gasataya disclosed this on Friday on the sidelines of a groundbreaking ceremony of a drug treatment and rehabilitation center in Barangay Alijis.
Hugpong ng Pagbabago – a regional political group – is led by presidential daughter and Davao City mayor “Inday” Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Gasataya said the NPC head Eduardo Cojuangco signed an alliance with Hugpong ng Pagbabago on Aug. 13 in Manila.
The alliance entails support for candidates that Hugpong ng Pagbabago will campaign for, Gasataya added.
He also said Duterte-Carpio has told her Hugpong ng Pagbabago colleagues that she has no plans to join the senatorial race in next year’s elections./PN
