MANILA – Kaya Iloilo acquired the service of former Ceres Negros midfielder Arnie Pasinabo as it began preparing for the second conference of the 2018 Philippines Football League.

Head coach Noel Marcaida confirmed that his team signed the San Carlos City, Negros Occidental native whom Ceres released last week.

“Arnie (Pasinabo) is a veteran player and he is a welcome addition to our squad,” said Marcaida. “We will be using him in our remaining matches in preparation for the second conference.”

Pasinabo, 32, became the fourth player the Iloilo-based football club added during the transfer window after signing Arnel Amita, Audie Menzi and Cameroonian Serge Kaole.

A former booter at the University of St. La Salle, Pasinabo is a boost to Kaya’s midfielders who include Amita, Antonio Ugarte, Kenshiro Daniels, Miguel Tanton, Jayson Panhay, and Marwin Angeles.

Ceres was forced to part ways with Pasinabo after four years of partnership following the entry of new players Jerry Barbaso, Paul Mulders, Curt Dizon, Blake Powell, and Roland Muller.

Kaya has locked in the second place in the standings with 43 points on a 13-6-4 win-loss-draw card after a 1-1 draw with Stallion Laguna at the Biñan Football Stadium in Laguna on Sunday./PN
