CenterPhil, Sta. Clarita keep winning in Primes Cup

CENTERPHIL Montessori Silver Knights remained unbeaten while Santa Clarita International High School squads racked up victories in the Primes Cup 2018 Season 2 Basketball Tournament on Sunday at the Santa Clarita Gym.

Silver Knights tallied its third consecutive win in the U18 division after an 84-30 domination over La Paz National High School. Lester Valn Paraico led the Silver Knights with 16 points.

Santa Clarita/NBTC, meanwhile, captured its second straight win in as many matches after taking down Iloilo Sacred Heart 102-63. Jemar Cepriano tallied 17 points while Giann Paul Nahine and Wilmer Dalumpines added 16 and 11 points, respectively.

On the other hand Santa Clarita B recovered from opening day defeat and beat Jalandoni National High School 98-57. Top-scoring for Primes B are Mon Alfred Pedrajas with 18 points and Kimrey Servano with 17 markers.

Jalandoni National High bounced back later in the day with a deflating 69-31 victory over erstwhile undefeated Iloilo City National High School.

In the U15 category, Santa Clarita A cruised to a 60-53 victory over Lambunao High School. Michael Angelo Tuala and John Drake Chavez combined for 25 points for the U15 Primes.

In U12, Hijas nipped Pavia 28-26 while PAREF-Westbridge scored a lopsided 44-29 win over Iloilo Central Elementary School./PN
