‘Shabu’ worth P100T seized

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth about P100,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.

Four suspects were arrested in the operation that officers from the Kabankalan City police station staged around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Kabankalan City police head Superintendent Jonel Guadalupe identified the suspects as the 36-year-old Allan Gomez, 47-year-old Ramonito Baricuatro, 28-year-old Keer John Ilao, and 42-year-old Joaquin Depra Jr.

The suspects were caught having a “pot session” in a house along Burgos Street after Gomez sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,000, police said.

Aside from the suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions were recovered from the suspects.

They were detained in the lockup cell of the Kabankalan City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
