‘Shabu’ worth P190T, gun, ammos seized

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth some P190,000 and a submachine gun were recovered from three men in a drug entrapment operation in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, police said.

The suspected drugs contained in 12 plastic sachets and the gun loaded with nine live bullets of a .9mm firearm were confiscated from Federico Arsenio, Marvin Sayon and Lean Boy Placeta, according to Police Station 2 commander Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa.

Gestopa said the suspects were caught after Arsenio sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer around 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation.

The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 2, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
